Dear Diary, last weekend my parents and I went on a hiking trip. On Friday after school we started our road trip to Austria and arrived at our hotel at eight pm. My parents had already planned the weekend and searched for easy hiking sites. On Saturday morning after we had eaten our breakfast, we packed our backpacks and changed our clothes. Then we drove to a parking area by car from where we started our hike. At first everything was fine, but after we had walked for an hour my dad fell and hurt his foot. It was so bad, that he wasn`t able to walk. My mum was very shocked and a little bit overstrained and so was I. After some time went by, we decided that it would be best if we called an emergency centre. My mum thus called them, and they said that it was very difficult to rescue my dad, because he fell at a site which is very hard to reach. The lady on the phone then told us that it would take some time until the paramedic would arrive, because he and his team had to take the same path as we had done. My dad was sitting on the ground and so were my mum and I. After an hour had passed the rescue team arrived. They gave my dad some medicine and put him on a barrow afterwards, so that they could carry him downhill. My dad then stayed in the hospital the whole weekend, until we drove home. In my opinion my parents and I won ́t go on a hiking trip this soon. That is very sad, because I love hiking and it is so much fun. Also, it is very beautiful to walk through this amazing nature. But my dad must be operated in a few days and afterwards he wonˋt be able to walk for four to six months, because of that we cańt go hiking, which is very sad. That is really a story that I won ́t forget this soon. I write you again soon. Bye, your Hannah
